What happens after I provide consent for the transfer to Bitvavo?

Your crypto, euro balance and personal information will be transferred to Bitvavo shortly after August 14th, 2023. This process may take up to 7 days. When your account is transferred, you will receive an automated confirmation e-mail. For any questions regarding this process, please contact Bitvavo Customer Support

What will happen to my crypto?

Your crypto remains safe in your LiteBit wallet. Starting June 14th you will have two months to start the transfer of your crypto, euro balance and personal information to Bitvavo. If you do not take any action during these two months, we will do all the work for you. If you do not want your funds to be transferred, you can always opt to withdraw your crypto to an external wallet or sell your crypto on LiteBit.

What will happen to my euro/credits?

Any remaining euro balances will be transferred to Bitvavo once the transfer of your account/crypto is initiated. Once completed, this euro balance can be used on Bitvavo. You can always opt to withdraw your euro balance to your verified bank account if you wish to do so. 

Do I have to switch to Bitvavo?

You are not obliged to switch to Bitvavo. We currently offer you a convenient way to transfer your funds to Bitvavo. This is the default option and eventually, we will transfer your funds to Bitvavo for you. Once you login to LiteBit you are asked to provide consent for the transfer to Bitvavo.

If you do not agree, and do not wish to provide consent, please login to the website to indicate you do not want to transfer. Please note that this option is not available on our app. If you do not wish to have your funds transferred, please make sure to either withdraw or sell your funds before August 14th, 2023.

If you fail to either withdraw or sell your funds before August 14th, 2023, we will sell all remaining crypto and transfer the resulting euro balans to the last used verified bank account. Please read the full terms and conditions that apply to this process.

Do I have to verify my ID documents again?

In most cases, if you are already verified on LiteBit, you will not have to verify your ID documents again at Bitvavo. There is a possibility that your ID verification does not meet the new requirements. When you login to LiteBit you will have to go through the ID verification process before you can start the transfer of your account to Bitvavo.

Which crypto can I withdraw?

Any crypto you were able to withdraw before the announcement, will still be available for withdrawal to an external wallet. Please note that some crypto we offer are in trade-only mode. Trade-only crypto are not available for withdrawal. You can still sell these trade-only crypto.

Why can I not withdraw certain crypto?

If the crypto you are trying to withdraw is in trade-only mode, it is not possible to withdraw. Trade-only mode is a permanent status and will not become available at a later date. These trade-only crypto will be transferred over to Bitvavo by us. After this transfer, you will be able to access these trade-only crypto at Bitvavo. You can always opt to sell any remaining balance you currently have in your LiteBit wallet.

Some crypto may be in maintenance temporarily. We will always provide a reason for the maintenance on our status page. Please keep an eye on that page for the latest info.

What happens when I do nothing?

If you take no action we will transfer your account and everything in it to Bitvavo after August 14th, 2023. You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your account transfer is complete. Please note this transfer may take up to 7 days. 

What happens after the transfer?

Once the transfer of your account is complete, you can log in to Bitvavo and manage your crypto and euro balance from there. If you already have a Bitvavo account, your funds will be merged into your existing account. If you do not have a Bitvavo account, it will be created for you. You will have to complete the basic account setup one time to access your funds.

What happens with LiteBit Earn Flexible and Locked?

For Flexible Earn you have received the last payout on Monday 22 May 2023. No further payouts for Flexible Earn will take place.

For Locked Earn, if you're crypto are still in a locked term until at least 31 May, they will be unlocked on 31 May 2023 and the rewards payout will be on that day. Rewards are calculated up to 30 May 2023. 

LiteBit login issues/troubleshooting

Logging in to LiteBit is no longer available after August 14th, 2023. Please contact Bitvavo Customer Support for questions related to the transfer of your account.
